What RED Systems Fabricates

Custom Pump Skids

Single, duplex, and triplex centrifugal pump packages on fabricated steel baseplates with matched motors, couplings, piping, valves, instruments, and baseplate drip lip.

Booster Systems

Pressure booster packages for water supply, HVAC, and process service — multi-pump arrangements with jockey pump, controls, pressure tank, and pre-wired panel.

Chemical Dosing Skids

Metering pump packages for chemical injection and dosing — pump, day tank, level instrumentation, secondary containment, and dosing controls.

Seal Support Skids

API flush plan support packages — barrier fluid reservoir, heat exchanger, instrumentation, valves, and tubing on a common base with documentation.

Lube-Oil & Cooling Systems

Lube-oil conditioning and cooling packages for rotating equipment — pump, filter, cooler, pressure regulation, and instrumentation.

Process Pump Packages

Engineered process pump packages for ANSI and API service — pump, motor, mechanical seal, coupling, guard, base, and instrumentation specified for the application.

Piping Manifolds

Fabricated carbon-steel and stainless-steel piping manifolds, headers, and sub-assemblies for pump stations and process equipment.

Valve & Instrument Assemblies

Pre-assembled valve trains, instrument stands, and connection assemblies for integration into process and utility piping systems.

Custom Baseplates & Guards

Fabricated pump-and-motor baseplates, coupling guards, and belt guards to customer drawing or engineered to OEM and safety standards.

Retrofit & Refurbishment

Replacement baseplates, piping upgrades, seal support retrofits, and package modifications on existing customer equipment.

Controls Integration

VFD and MCC panels, PLC/HMI integration, and field instrumentation specified, built, and wired by the RED Systems Controls Division as part of the fabricated package.

Testing & Documentation

Factory functional testing, photography, and tag recording before delivery. Full documentation package with every build.

From Specification to Startup

Every RED Systems fabrication project follows a structured process from application review through delivery and startup. Customer drawing approval is obtained before fabrication begins. Testing and documentation are completed before the package ships.

01

Application Review

Review of process conditions, flow, head, fluid properties, temperature, pressure, duty cycle, site conditions, and customer specifications before equipment selection begins.

02

Equipment Selection

Pump, motor, seal, instrumentation, and component selection based on application requirements. Vendor quotations and lead times confirmed before proceeding.

03

Layout & Design

General arrangement drawing produced showing overall dimensions, connection locations, component placement, and access requirements. P&ID developed where required.

04

Customer Drawing Review

GA drawing and P&ID submitted to customer for review and approval before fabrication begins. Comments incorporated and re-issued for approval.

05

Fabrication & Assembly

Baseplate and structural fabrication, equipment mounting, piping fabrication and installation, component assembly, and bolted connections completed to drawing.

06

Controls Integration

VFD panel, control panel, field wiring, instrumentation installation, and terminations completed. Loop checks performed before functional testing.

07

Inspection & Testing

Dimensional check against GA drawing. Functional test of pumps, controls, instrumentation, and interlocks. Any deficiencies corrected before sign-off.

08

Photography & Tagging

Equipment nameplate data recorded, serial numbers logged, and photographs taken of the completed package from multiple angles before shipment.

09

Documentation Package

Complete submittal documentation assembled and issued to customer before or with delivery.

10

Delivery & Startup Support

Delivery coordinated with customer schedule. Field startup support and commissioning assistance available at customer site.

Documentation Package

Every fabricated package from RED Systems includes a submittal documentation package. The scope of documentation varies by project — confirm required submittals at the start of the project.

  • General arrangement (GA) drawing
  • P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagram) where applicable
  • Equipment data sheets
  • Component manuals and installation instructions
  • Bill of materials (BOM)
  • Wiring diagrams and panel drawings
  • Instrument list and calibration records
  • Factory test records
  • Serial number register
  • Installation and startup requirements
  • Operation and maintenance (O&M) package

Factory Testing

Fabricated packages are dimensionally checked against the approved GA drawing and functionally tested before shipment. Test records are included in the documentation package.
